Atmospheric Electric Field

Atmosphere electric field observations are presented in this part of Borok Geophysical Observatory Database. All data are obtained at Geophysical Monitoring Laboratory, the division of Borok Geophysical Observatory.

Because electric field sensor is located on the roof of Geoelectromagnetic Monitoring Laboratory building, electric field is distorted. So, one have to use a reduction factor to obtaine the correct value of electric field on the ground surface. Influence of precipitations and thunderstorms also leads extremely high values of measured electric field.

While electric field is observed with sampling rate 10Hz, the presented data are averaged by one hour time period.
